Engwe pro 52v is way Better than a 48v it still a good ebike all these ebikes have too upgrade to 52v like that it have a 20amp battery.🎉

Just watched a review on the OneSport OT16 which is the same, except it's battery is 48v 17ah and they 'claim' 74 miles So, I'm agreeing with you and think Engwe need to 'up their game' as that OT16 is better AND cheaper. 😎🖖

I would say this has more usable power compared to the Engwe. A new Engwe review video came out today and the guy could barely get up a 8 degree hill. You were quickly getting up 10 degree climbs without any problems.

Can you or anyone confirm if the brakes could be replaced with maybe a set of Shimano MT200`s?

Nice bike though as you say the frame needs to be redesigned to move the pedals slightly forward. But the main problem is that at 500W it is classified as a moped in the UK. That requires registration, insurance and tax, no access to cycle paths and drink drive rules. However, in April 2024 the Department Of Transport have been reviewing the current legislation to increase the max power to 500W on e-bikes. The main concern is safety. Three e-bike batteries have caught fire and killed their owners. E-bike batteries are the fastest growing fire risk according to the Fire Service. Cheaper bikes are introducing cheaper and less safe batteries. And bigger batteries mean heavier bikes, so more chance of injury in collisions. E-bike manufacturer Volt, Cycling UK and the Bicycling Association are all against raising the max wattage over these safety concerns. However, the drive for Net Zero and reduced reliance on combustion engine vehicles may eventually outweigh those concerns. I would imagine the industry will introduce a Safe-To-Ride Certificate to ensure a high standard of manufacture is maintained and push out the cheap competition. The government agency looking into this is the EAPC consultation team Third Floor, Great Minster House, 33 Horseferry Rd, London SW1P 4DR.

I've attempted four times to purchase one of these no joy and it seams the only ppl that review these have had them sent them,folks i sense a scam tbh..Nothing but lip service is all i'm getting WARNING be careful with this..

Definitely designed for the tarmac. Good for weaving around obstacles. Tight turns in the car park. Gets you around larger caravan sites with roads. Or handy for a yachtsman to get to and from the pontoon. And just the thing for getting around large sites such as airfields. Will struggle in any kind of mud.

I carried a total of 32kg on both of my C2Cs first West to East and the next year an East to West. Enough food to last me 12 days even though I completed the hike in 10 days. I enjoyed it so much I did a reverse route the following year. Previous hikes have included a South to North and a North to South Pennine Way hikes. After leaving the Army I once again started hiking.... John OGroats to Lands End followed two years later a Lands End to John OGroats. Five years later saw me circumnavigate the UK Mainland Clockwise and two years after a Counterclockwise circumnavigation. Yes a lot of walking and to tell the truth I am now suffering with weak knees and ankles but hey I am retired from work being close to 68 yrs old and now I spend my days watching Guys and Girls do similiar hikes and pass on my memories of doing the same hikes. Yes I still want to get out and continue to hike but I know it would not end well, so I watch others hiking via RUclips. All the best for any future Hikes you have planned. Beware of the very steep climb out of Gromont its a killer

After a restfull night in the B&B at Richmond I had an hour to look round the Castle before leaving Richmon to push passed the A1 underpass to Brompton on Swale and the Churchyard where there is a Grave of a Man who live 167 yrs. After leaving the Church at Brompton on Swale at the time we only had a ROAD WALK to the Blue Boar at Ingoldby Cross for my end of day camp behind the pub. The following day was a mix of ups and downs over the North Yorks Moors with nothing much to report with the exception of the Roseberry Topping, a level ex Iron Ore rail line to the Red Lion at Blakeney for my next overnight camp behind the Pub. There were no Rocky Roads when I did the C2C it was just mud or sheep tracks. Till I had the Steam Trains at Gromont to look forward too. A pleasant half days break while watching and riding on the NYM Railway before that very steep climb out of Gromont heading towards the Falling Foss Waterfall.

For anyone watching this with intention of doing the walk, BEWARE of the decent into Hawewater it is extremely steep. After that its a gentle stroll round Hawewater and into the next section Shap, 30 minutes break at Shap to look arround while the kettle boiled for my morning Coffee before continueing to Shap at the Pub. The following Day it was Shap to Kirkby Stephens in the Rain. It was just a case of head down and plod on. Followed by Kirkby Stephens then over Nine Standards to Keld, first encountered on my South to North Pennine way. At Keld you have a choice of a High Lever over the moors or low level by the river. I took the hilly route and treated myself to a Night at a B n B in Richmond.

Bolts for Kickstand WILL work loose and can potentially fall off. The screws for the LCD need locktite or they WILL fall out. Hinge stops squeeking quite quickly. Overall it is an amazing bike and loads of fun. Either locktite your bolts (calipers, screen, kickstand and rear rack) or be prepared to check them frequently.

An E-bike for the flat landscape of Portsmouth, Oxford or Cambridge is a different experience to the hills of Bournemouth, Bristol or Brighton. This is a European bike and seems more suited to riding around Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Strasbourg than the rural paths of the IOW. 15mph is faster than most urban rush hour commuter traffic. The website says it has a 6 month warranty on the battery and charger. 1 year warranty on the frame.

Always look forward to your videos. Very informative with whitty comments thrown in for good measure. I was always told when you change gear just stop peddling for those few seconds when you change gear. That way it doesnt put too much strain on the gears.

Ok, some clarification on the law. From the government website on electric bikes. This type of bike is not illegal. But it can be illegal to use it on public roads and cycle paths. Confusing?? If the E-bike battery either exceeds 250W....or.... the bike can exceed 15.5mph on the battery power alone without pedalling....then it is classified as a moped or scooter. If so, then like a scooter, it must be taxed, registered with a number plate, insured and only be ridden by someone with a driving licence. That makes it legal to use on the road. So, if illegal, you would be fined the same as driving an unregistered, untaxed, uninsured scooter. But how would the old bill know? Easiest and clearest way would be to check the battery Wattage. If it is classified as a scooter then it cannot be ridden on cycle paths. That's my non-expert interpretation of the gov web page rules. The twist-and-go issue is to do with its EU import classification that we still use.
